Our client is seeking a digital physical design engineer to be responsible for the implementation of complex digital designs on mixed signal ICs. This will cover all activities associated with digital physical design such as synthesis, layout, timing and power analysis, DFT insertion, ATPG, CTS, logical equivalence, LVS, DRC and simulation. Much of the work requires skills in scripting for automation as well as a good understanding of the tools, libraries and issues involved with DSM implementation. The key responsibilities of the role are: Digital implementation of complex mixed signal IC's; Verification and sign-off of IC's for tapeout; Contribution to the infrastructure and automation of digital physical design flows; Evaluation of new implementation and verification tools and helping to define and implement strategies to optimise the power, timing and area of ICs . You must have a good honours degree from a leading institution and relevant experience of digital implementation and verification. You will also have scripting skills in a Linux environment. Familiarity with Synopsys implementation and verification tools would be useful.
