Our client is currently seeking an Electronics Development Engineer to support the research and development of their cutting edge diagnostics acoustic biosensor technology platform, developing high stability and low noise resonators, oscillators and measurement systems operating in the VHF range.
MAIN DUTIES: *To support the research and development of electronics systems in our acoustic biosensor technology platform. *To carry out development, build, test, documentation and production engineering of electronics devices and systems.
REQUIREMENTS: *A 1st or 2:1 class degree in electronics, physics or related engineering disciplines from a leading university. *Familiar with an analytical design approach working with software-based models, experimental validation and data analysis. *Excellent PCB level mixed analogue and digital design skills. *Ability to test, diagnose and modify designs to meet required performance. *Experience of design for high reliability and design for manufacture. *Experience in frequency control and timing devices required; sensor and instrumentation experience highly desirable. *Experience in test and measurement environment using analyzers, scopes, meters and GPIB instruments required. *Experience in software and firmware development, FPGA and microcontroller-based system is useful. *Experience in RF and communications, and knowledge of integration and packaging technology is useful.
