Our client is a multinational Electronics company based in Ongar. Their aim is to produce several new designs a year, and need to recruit atest/development engineer to help speed up the testing & verification stages of the design, so they can get to manufacturing more quickly.
You will be part of the R&D/engineering group and not a production type tester. The role is quite varied and you will be working closely with the design team. You may be a Uni Graduate with no work experience, but you must have a sound knowledge of electronic priniciples and a knowledge of switch mode power supply development.
Our client is looking a bright person who is keen to learn.
Job description:-
Testing of switch mode power supplies against specification for design verification.
Carry out MTBF calculations on products
Perform/analyse component derating checks
Design and build test equipment
Provide technical support to engineers and drawing office staff.
Build and test breadboard prototypes
Provide general technical support to manufacturing, test, service and other engineering team members as required
Liaise with external test houses and engineers to gain product qualification/approvals.
Provide engineering support for new product variant design at both on and offsite manufacturing facilities.
Perform/analyse component derating checks
