The English Language Teaching group is looking for an Assistant to play a key role in developing the Cambridge International Corpus, a computerised collection of English language which helps authors and editors in writing Cambridge ELT books.
The successful candidate will assist the Corpus Administrator in proofreading keyed exam scripts and administering the system for providing corpus access to authors. You will also be the first point of contact for teams of freelancers who transcribe material for the corpus and will be communicating with people via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
Candidates should show meticulous attention to detail and be able to produce documents to an extremely high standard of presentation. You should be educated to at least ‘A’ level standard, have exceptional organisational and communication skills and first-rate written English.
Excellent computer skills and previous experience in an administrative role are also essential, as is the ability to work with statistical information.
