    We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the team of our clients successful advertising house working on one of their many titles as a Advertising Account Executive.

    Purpose of the role:

    To secure the sale of advertising space within a given title, to contribute towards hitting set financial targets. To fulfil all administrative duties pertaining to the position. To oversee the production and proofing of all copy for the advertisement you have sold each issue.

    Breakdown of responsibilities and duties:

    Covering leads:
    Each issue it is imperative that all leads are contacted to give them a chance of featuring in issue on which you are currently working on. Each executive will have his or her own sector/patch based on a alphabet split system implemented by the manager.

    Advertising executives are expected to ensure all companies that are relevant to editorial subject matter are contacted and made aware of the features available.

    Creation of leads:

    Each executive will be responsible for ` growing` and maintaining their sector of the alphabet split. This will mean that you will be expected to go through competitor publications each month and contact any new leads within their alphabet.

    Adhering to definite deadlines:

    Advertising executives are expected to know the deadline of each issue and ensure that all their duties are carried out in time for the magazine to fill it’s deadline, this will include:

    Providing copies to the studio, copy chasing and making sure that every client is contacted and informed of the date by which the copy is required.

    Administration: Each executive is required to handle their own administration pertaining to their bookings and leads.

    Company representation: As and when required you will required to attend exhibitions relevant to their magazine.

    Requirements of the position:

    Essentially the candidate will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    Ability to keep paperwork in order and perform basic administrational duties
    Good organisation; skills and ability to co- ordinate several tasks at once
    Good customer service skills and the ability to be a team player

    Desirable: Experience of selling over the phone or face - to - face
    Knowledge of the publishing industry.
