Health & Safety Manager
£30,000 - £40,000 + car + healthcare + life assurance
Basildon
This is a permanent full time position working for a large manufacturing company in Basildon. The position offers a starting salary of £30,000 - £40,000, company car, healthcare and life assurance.
To be considered for the position of Health & Safety Manager you will need to be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) and should hold an appropriate health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH and IOSH.
As Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for:
• Implementing current Health and Safety legislation and company Health & Safety policy
• Assisting with workplace risk assessments
• Maintaining statutory accident register
• Ensuring COSHH data and assessments are maintained
• Liaising with Health & Safety bodies, Factory Inspectors, Fire Officers and Local Government Officers
• Assisting with the induction training of new and existing employees
• Reviewing company Health & Safety manual, procedures and documents in line with organisational and legislative changes
My client is looking to appoint someone with extensive experience of working in a similar managerial position with experience in a Health & Safety environment. Ideally you will hold the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and will have a working knowledge of ISO 14001 and Environmental Management Systems.
This managerial position requires someone capable of leading and managing at all levels of the organisation on Health & Safety matters who has strong communication skills and the ability to assess and manage risk.
