The Company
Our client is a Global Managed Services company, providing Total Facilities Management Services to multi-national organisations incorporating both Hard and Soft Services. They are currently recruiting for an Area Manager to look after a team of Contract Managers in the South West of England area.
The Role
Our client is recruiting for an Area Manager with both Contracts Management and Business Development experience based in the South West.
The purpose of the job is to provide leadership and management to a team of Contract Managers, ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded, and that additional business is developed within the Contracts Base.
Ensure that opportunities are identified by the Contract Managers for the strategic development of the contracts in order to deliver increased turnover and profitability, add additional services and projects and ensure that contracts are re-won on re-tender.
Ensure that Contract Managers are meeting their KPI's across the contracts e.g. ensuring optimum staffing structure operates across contracts, reduction of WIP, debt, and costs, while ensuring contract growth.
This role is accountable day-to-day to the Business Unit Director.
The Candidate
The candidate must have experience managing large contracts with P&L responsibility and managing a team of Contract Managers.
The person ideally will have relevant industry experience in the M&E and Hard services arena.
The candidate will be ambitious, confident and able to demonstrate a career with continuous personal development
Must be analytical, have vision, be innovative and constantly looking for ways to improve the business, while being an excellent motivator of staff, and a team player.
Our client is looking for a candidate with excellent communication and presentation skills, who is committed to customer service, accessible to customers, and has a high level of personal integrity.
The candidate must be computer literate, organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure business critical environments.
The person must be capable of developing strategies to win against the competition, as well as identifying and delivering added value services, they must be flexible, able to articulate the Value Proposition of our client's service to prospects and customers at Board Level, and take ownership of the business they will be running.
The Reward
In return, the Area Manager will receive an excellent remuneration package including £50k - £60k salary plus 20% bounus, a car allowance. There is a company pension scheme, 25days holiday and additionally the company offers excellent career progression opportunities.
