Full Description:

TCL/LJ 263194: Our client seeks a Part Qualified Accountant for an assignment within its Finance & Commerce division.

We are acting for an E London based local authority

The post will be located in Romford, RM1 and will be for 36 hpw, Mon-Fri, normal business hours.

This is anticipated to be, initially at least, a 4 to 5 month assignment.

Please note that under a special arrangement we have with a leading umbrella company, temps who elect to get paid under this route will receive, in addition to a higher hourly rate of pay, the following benefits which are not available under PAYE:

Essence of role:

Management Accounting:

• Analysis of financial Information
• Strong Excel skills
• Financial Advice to cost centre managers and senior managers
• Advise Senior Financial on financial issues
• Forecast and interpret financial information

Financial Accounting:

• Closure of Accounts
• Budget Monitoring
• Budget Setting
• Medium Term Financial Strategy
• Grant Claims & Statistical Returns

You will also be required to manage staff.

Candidate requirements (*indicates must be CLEARLY EVIDENT FROM YOUR CV, not just your covering letter, to avoid auto-rejection by client) include:

*Part Qualified CCAB / AAT Qualified

*UK financial administration experience within a UK local authority or other large public sector organisation with experience of day to day management of staff

*Excel skills essential, Oracle Financials desirable

Any large organisational related experience an advantage and should be stated on your CV
