* Excellent opportunity to join a world leader & work within their Aerodynamic Tools & Simulation team in the UK
* This challenging role involves directing the development of CFD mesh generation, flow solution and/or post-processing tools, often with external partners, ensuring/supporting deployment & developing & maintaining best practice for the tools
* Principal tasks are to support & maintain one or multiple aspects of the CFD tool chain & plan/manage development of these tools
* Also developing & directing development of: Geometry generation & manipulation tools, often based on CAD systems; tools for the numerical optimisation of aerodynamic shapes; frameworks for the exploitation of these & other aerodynamic tools
- We are keen to hear from AERODYNAMIC METHODS & TOOLS ENGINEERS with industrial experience in aerodynamic method development & support
You must also have knowledge of
- The fundamentals of aircraft aerodynamic design
- The fundamental techniques for CFD mesh generation, both structured & unstructured.
- Fundamental techniques for CFD methods, Euler & RANS
- Other skills required include a strong background in aerodynamic optimisation
- Exp in software engineering & architecture (willing to
expand the latter)
- Knowledge/exp of collaborative software engineering projects
- Exp in Unix, & one of C++, Java, Python
