Job Description
JOB TITLE:ESTIMATOR REPORTING TO: ESTIMATING MANAGER/ESTIMATING SUPERVISOR· Log new customer enquiries and allocated reference numbers· Update enquiry and quotation lists as required· Liaise with the relevant person/s whom have generated an enquiry to ensure you have all the relevant information available.· General competitive estimates based on information provided and gathered.· Contact sub-contract suppliers and obtain costs for items/operations not within PPE\'s capabilities.· Prepare drawings, faxes and emails to facilitate the above where required.· Liaise with appropriate departments to determine best or most appropriate method of manufacture.· Quotations to be submitted to the following for checking/agreeing:§Estimating Manager§Estimating Supervisor§Managing Directors§Production DirectorThis list is not intended to be exhaustive; you will be required to carry out general duties as required.
