Job Description
Established 25 years ago, our client is privately owned which allows them to promote a uniquely creative environment for all employees. They have won 12 industry awards for their work and boast possibly the largest design team within their sector. They have achieved a constant growth across their trading life, especially in the last two years when they saw their turnover double to reach £14 million. They employ approximately100 permanent staff, with around 15 of those being in the design department. They also have up to 150 strong flexible workforce which allow them to successfully meet demanding deadlines.They operate from a spacious modern site in Kent and boast around 100,000 sq ft of office and manufacturing space. Using state of the art equipment, and design software, they are able to create innovative, but practical designs that meet and exceed clients expectations. The current Head of Design, has been with the company for 14 years and has seen the department flourish under his management. With the recent exceptional growth levels the department has obviously noticed a substantial increase in work loads. They have undergone a departmental reorganisation and as a result have identified the need for a new designer. They require an experienced 3D Structural Designer, who can \'hit the ground running\' to undertake deadline work and integrate well into the existing team. They MUST have experience of working in a similar environment and be able to demonstrate their design ability. Candidates will be required to work individually and within a team environment to create workable and imaginative designs to fulfil client briefs. The ability to think outside the box is essential for this appointment, as is experience of working to tight deadlines.
