Experienced Business Analyst required to join a team of Business Analysts focusing on development of a new counterparty credit risk exposure management system to replace the existing and aging system. The system is a central tool for the Front Office counterparty credit risk management team responsible for managing credit line utilisation and supporting pre-deal credit checks.
The team is responsible for the analysis and specification of functional business requirements for development by Risk IT. The team is also responsible for testing and rollout of the functionality, reporting and system components.
The business analysis team sits within the Risk Business Change area of the investment banking arm. This is a hands-on role requiring prior business analysis experience in the area of counterparty credit risk management.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Conduct business analysis and gathering of business requirements of the central counterparty credit risk management team and the Front Office
- analysis and specification of system process flows, data requirements, user reports, GUI\'s. Front Office systems interfaces etc
- document functional requirements in the form of Functional Specifications for business sign-off and IT development team acceptance/sign off
- close liaison with Risk IT during functional development and functional testing phases
- produce business and functional test plans
- perform functional testing of Risk IT implementation of the functional requirements
- document functional test results
- support UAT phases and provide user training/education where necessary
Business experience
* Understanding of counterparty credit risk management processes
* Understanding of a wide range of derivative instruments
* Writing functional specifications
* Prior experience of hands on business analysis roles
* Prior experience working in an investment bank
* Experience of trade and market data requirements
* Understanding of strategic systems development life cycle
* Liaising with business teams (Front Office Traders, Business Managers and Credit risk managers) to capture business requirements
* Liaising with both on-shore and off-shore IT development teams
Testing Skills
* Writing functional test plans
* Strong understanding of test approaches
* Functional and regression testing
Technical Skills
* SQL
* Strong Excel and MS Word
* Ability to draw data schema and define data dictionary
* Understanding of Monte Carlo modelling
* Understanding of counterparty exposure measures
* Experience of testing tools
