Job Description

All candidates MUST have worked in a secure environment, ideally MOD, in the last 12 months. Key Skills and Responsibilities: Requires being qualified (or suitable equivalent experience) up to CCNP level. Must have good IP routing, switching and design skills including LAN-LAN VPN or LAN/WAN TCP/IP technologies. Exposure to large scale, inter linked Cisco IP Networks desirable. Preference will be given to multi-skilled, Multi-disciplined candidates with a security background. Role includes being a key member of an 8 person team responsible for the day to day operation of all UK based networks, which is primarily self-driven through the use of our internal help desk system. In addition to provide technical networking assistance to all national and international network projects as directed by the Team Leader or UK Manager. Good network analysis/trouble-shooting skills throughout the OSI layer model leading to the ability to provide competent Level 1/2 support from the desk top interface through to core network. This role would suit a keen, experienced, cross skilled CCNA (+) level candidate The right candidate will gain exposure and responsibility to match their skills. Ideally candidates will have working knowledge of the following, although not essential: ISS and ActivCard Servers Cisco PIX ASA and IronPort Cisco Tacacs+ and AAA products Baron McCann NAM and Sniffer products Remote Access technologies Cisco IP telephony products Tandberg Video Conferencing technologies GRE/VPN and IPSec Protocols EIP DNS/DHCP The client offers flexible working hours, free car parking and an on site canteen.
