| This company are well established within the field of Financial Services and they now have a great opportunity for Report Writer/ Para Planner to join their Colchester office. Main objectives for this roles are • to undertake client related administration, reporting and implementation, in order to assist Independent Financial Advisers in the provision of independent financial services to clients; • to undertake the required number of chargeable hours for the department; • to complete tasks in an efficient and timely fashion and not to undertake a task which would take a higher time cost than that which an Independent Financial Adviser could take; The main tasks you will undertake are to • enter new client details onto 1st; • ensure action points agreed on notes of meetings with clients are completed; • input client transfer of agency information onto 1st; • process client business; • produce financial product and investment product recommendation reports; • produce 1st financial plans; • select funds from the Sesame Research panels; • send out letters to clients inviting them for review; • communicate with product providers in order to obtain policy information; • deal with provider errors and mistakes and rectify these; The Qualifications you will be required to have are The Certificate in Financial Planning, (previously called Financial Planning Certificate), or the Certificate in Financial Administration. This demonstrates the basic level of technical knowledge which is required in order to undertake the job of a Paraplanner; You will also need to • understand 1st software; • understand O&M, Sesame Research and other technical software packages; • to be able to keep a time record of work undertaken on behalf of clients; • to understand the advice process and the need for a commercial relationship with clients.
