Thera Trust was established in 1998 to be an organisation directly controlled by people with a learning disability.
People supported by Thera East Anglia have the opportunity to be involved both in the running of the organisation in a variety of ways, as well as leading the design and delivery of their own support. A sophisticated person centred planning approach, people recruit their own staff, are involved in a variety of groups and organisational activities, have a presence on management teams and support the organisation's development.
As a result of continued growth, achieving real control and involvement throughout the organisation has becoming more challenging. In 2005, therefore, Thera Trust established a group structure of companies to provide more local support to people, whilst retaining the approach to involvement and control that has been central to Thera's success. Smaller, more local Thera companies will make sure that people are better able to tell the organisation that provides their support what they want and what they think.
By joining Thera East Anglia you can rest assured that you will receive the full training and support of an established organisation, a competitive salary and the chance to work flexibly, making a difference in the lives of the people that we support. If it is permanent work your are seeking we can offer you contracted hours, or if you are wishing for more flexibility to suit your lifestyle then maybe a relief contract would be more appropriate.
